Dinosaur Colouring Pages

Almost every kid goes through a dinosaur phase, and almost every dinosaur colouring book at the shops shows the same six creatures over and over. Crayon Dreaming gives you something different: tell us the dinosaur you want, the scene it's in, the species, the era, and we'll generate a printable page in under a minute. T-Rex hatching from an egg, triceratops in a flower meadow, velociraptor riding a skateboard, if your child can imagine it, you can print it. Pages work as well for a four-year-old with thick crayons as they do for a nine-year-old who wants more detailed scales and teeth to colour. The first three pages are free with no sign-up. If you want the experience as a printed book, the gift flow is its own thing: pick a theme, describe each of 20 pages, and we print and ship it on uncoated colouring paper. The result is a book they actually own, starring the dinosaurs they care about, in scenes they invented, not yet another generic shelf book they'll outgrow in a fortnight.

Frequently asked questions

Which dinosaurs work best in colouring pages?

Anything you can name. T-Rex, triceratops, brontosaurus, stegosaurus and velociraptor are the popular favourites, but our generator handles less common ones, ankylosaurus, parasaurolophus, dilophosaurus, just as well. If you spell it correctly, we'll draw it correctly.

What age is dinosaur colouring good for?

Dinosaur colouring works from age 3 right up to about 10. For younger kids, ask for the Cartoon or Kawaii style, the lines are bolder and the proportions are friendlier. For older kids who want detail, try Storybook or Comic Book style.

Is the dinosaur science accurate?

We aim for recognisable, not palaeontologically perfect. The point is a child can look at the page and say "that's a stegosaurus", we're not trying to ship a textbook. If you want feathers on your raptors, ask for them when you describe the scene.

Can I make a dinosaur colouring book?

The printed book is its own thing. Head over to the gift flow, pick a dinosaur theme, describe each of 20 pages, and we print it on real colouring paper and ship worldwide.
